Very disappointed. The assembly was no issue. The quality I thought I was getting with real wood was very disappointing. While assembly was taking place the headboard was splitting while driving the screws. I had to drill pilot holes on the footboard to avoid splitting. The bottom corner where the cams go in the whole were drilled off a half an inch and did not line up. I had to redrill and create a system to get the cam and bolt to line up. The corner was now weakened and fortunately I had a corner bracket from a cabinet build that beefed up the corner. The wood was extremely dry and fragile so it must have been sitting around awhile. I love the look. I wish things went better so I could post more positive review.This is a very low quality product and not at all worth its cost. The wood cracks and splits as screws are applied. It's flimsy, and there are no screw hole plugs to cover the many unsightly holes.They look great and feel sturdy. We didn’t have instructions in one of the boxes but managed to figure it out. Just took a little longer than if we would have had them. Shipping came faster than originally expected and good communication on arrival.The material quality and paint is HORRIBLE!We purchased this for a rarely used bedroom. However when it was unpacked we were surprised at the lack of quality in materials and paint finish. We immediately repacked it and asked for a return...then realized we would need to pay $320 in shipping costs back to CA! So this will become a donate item and we will learn a hard lesson! Stay away from this piece.OkayUso personalOverall, nice bed but has its flaws. First off, this bed was honestly very hard to assemble. Also the bed is much shorter than shown in the picture. Not worth the price, but makes for a ok bed.
