Needed to fit my daughter and grandson in one room and this was the perfect size bed for a small room at an affordable price. Cost of similar beds were over $1200.00. It was not easy to assemble and took patience and trial and error. We weren't missing any pieces, but if we thought we were or something didn't fit as instructed, we realized we had something backwards. I definitely recommend this bed for function, looks and price.Not all the pieces were painted or even painted evenly. Some boards were split or delaminating. The pre-drilled holes didn't always line up. So much so that they had some filled with dowels n poorly repainted. There were atleast 2 pieces that had what I assume were staples sticking out. The instructions weren't all that clear n we would be scratching our head on which way some of the holes should be oriented. Not all the pieces were stamped or only half the stamp transfered. The hardware was identified with tiny papers in a lil bag that u would have to jiggle around to try & find. Oh & each step of instructions was really 2 steps. The kid is in love with it so I guess it stays... but definetly didn't feel worth the money spent.The holes don’t line up and the assembly is terrible. Looks good but has to go to the Depot to get additional hardware as it didn’t have all the fasteners required. You have to guess on the planks in the middle and I would recommend getting plywood for both the twin and full before putting on the mattresses. The twin is only held on with dowels so added additional lag bolts to secure it to lower frame.The bed is super pretty and I ordered this for my kids as a replacement to their trundle bed they had. It was estimated to arrive between July 29-Aug 9 as it was shipping from Brazil, but came a week after I ordered and was surprised. Right off the bat, there was a lot of paint chipped, wood chipped, and parts that were longer or shorter than others. This was THE BIGGEST pain to put together. The instructions made no sense and we were short a TON of screws. All of the pre-drilled holes that the manufacturer had placed were pretty much all misaligned, and the pieces weren’t all labeled, making it that much harder to put together. It literally took all day (11am-7:30pm) for my husband to put together, and he is incredibly skilled and handy at these kinds of things. The stairs were probably the worst to put together and overall the bed feels like it won’t last long. Poor craftsmanship all around. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is when I contacted the seller to cancel my order as I found a different bed, they said they couldn’t cancel the order but offered me a $30 refund for the trouble.Easy to follow the directions. Sturdy frame. The only negative is that one step board , the assembly whole were off which made it near impossible to finish the step assembly.Defective item, holes to screw together wasn’t in the right place, it’s need a lot of adjustment for the holes to connect. Overall, I had done a lot a assembled and this one is not that great . Holes are out of places. We managed to have it connect together .Was an OK bed but during assembly had to get screws to reinforce the steps because what was given didn't screw in properly. Then not even a year later the steps break and the board across the bottom snaps in half while my child was sleeping.Bought it for our son during COVID and we couldn’t give him a party. Took a little bit to build and I added a couple extra screws for more support. He loves it and loved keeping his stuff in the bins on the sides of the stairs.
