Looks great. Is sturdy. But read the directions front to back before starting. There is some ass backward steps about how to flip it and tighten the tops and bottoms that are ridiculous. But overall.... Went together well.I have had this bed for about two weeks now, and it has held up well thus far. I decided to treat myself after spending many years sleeping on a futon. While scrolling, I came across this bed, and one epic review that's under the two star column, which along with the lack of complaints about supports bending with this frame, helped me choose this one.*You need two people. The WHOLE time.* I received my bed in one very awkward to maneuver box. It takes two people to move. I feel very bad for the driver, and would have helped, but I had no idea that it had arrived. Yes it was dented, but all of the pieces inside were fine. I called a few friends, and then the magic happened....I would say that between two and sometimes three of us, it took a while to assemble this bed. 3 hours. The instructions are actually pretty clear, and you get almost everything you need- bolts, screws, alan wrench. You will also need your own Phillips head screwdriver as well. You will also possibly need a hammer. We struggled most with some of the frame parts being hard to screw together, and we ended up bending them a little with a hammer. It's also easier to fully push in the gold end caps with light taps with a hammer. I also found it hard to screw the screws into the gold end caps. The holes lined up, but it took a lot of force to get them in. After much flipping and turning, the bed was together. I advise highly to take your time and pay really close attention to what letter pieces connect to where. That's where we lost some time.To wrap this up, after hearing a scary crack the first night when I went to sleep, the bed has been relatively soundless. Most noise comes from the canopy part, but it's not enough to wake me up; or feel unsafe. No, I'm not engaging in adult nocturnal activities, but I would believe the bed would be much noisier if you did. I'm currently using my two futon mattresses, and the frame is supporting them well. You do have space for under bed storage if you wish to use it. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.Bed is beautiful to look at but is very light weight and nearly impossible to assemble., will take you a few hours to put it together. Bed also moves due to light weight and I would not recommend for a child. This is in my guest room, so again, I would not recommend for a busy bedroom or anyone who moves a lot in their sleep because the bed will be away from the wall when you wake up. Also bed corners are molded plastic that crack during assembly. Buyer beware and sadly I bought for the look and was disappointed.*UPDATE* - After not too long this is now very creaky when you move aroundFirst off, once built, the bed looks great and is surprisingly very sturdy. I would definitely buy this again if I was psychologically prepared for the building process. The gold corners however are made of plastic, so I'm not sure how well they will hold up over time.Be prepared to commit to a lot of pieces to put together. I have read other reviews that say you need two people, I don't think you do - although the sections you build are quite big, they are very light to lift around and so I was able to do it alone. When you open the box, it's literally 40 metal poles that you have to assemble (which makes sense looking at the picture!) and it did take a couple of hours. Looks great now that it's done though! The bed is sturdy and there is nothing wrong with the quality; however, I was looking for a taller canopy bed. With this design, you can’t add bed risers so it didn’t suit my taste. I kept the bed anyway and gave it to my daughter who is not so picky. If you are looking for a tall dramatic look, this bed it not for you. If you are looking for a nice, sturdy bed this one is perfectly fine.Look, clearly I purchased this as a cheaper option, no secret there. However, there are stickers, big ones, on every bar. THEY DO NOT COME OFF EASILY! It’s a bed nightmares are made of!! It is not too difficult to assemble, be sure to do it with a partner who has half a brain though. :)It’s a simple black metal frame and the gold corners are a full cheap plastic. I don’t mind that they’re plastic but the pictures and actual product are not the same. I was looking for a brushed gold and not shiny but the gold was way off.So happy we took the chance, I saw this bed on Wayfair then found on Amazon much cheaper. Same exact!Lots of pieces but not complicated with two people working slow. It's sturdy and very stylish. Highly recommendLove it! I’d been looking for a reasonably priced poster bed for a while with no luck & I’m super glad I thought to check amazon. Took a few weeks to arrive but was super straight forward to assemble. Not sure how it will be over time (we’ve only had it a month) but it’s exactly like described, love it!
